Let me take you on a journey from my days as a passionate learner at City Pride School to the opportunities I’m pursuing today. The environment that we grow in, especially as kids adds on so many values, it is true when they say "Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression." This emphasizes the importance of actions and words, as they shape young minds in profound ways. One thing I really love about my schooling is that we got to explore a lot of curricular and co-curricular activities. It helped a lot to know about what I truly enjoyed doing and what I could do.

We had fashion designing as a subject and I was in 8th grade when I designed and made my own kurta which we later had to wear and walk for the annual day. It’s still there in my wardrobe. Back then I never would have thought that I would be a model and walk on runways for big designers and directors. Walking on the runway for fashion shows, posing in front of the camera for shoots, doing shoots for luxury brands makes me feel more connected in the present moment, I feel free. I learnt Bharatnatyam in school, which I still practice and I performed a Bharatnatyam and karate fusion dance for my state pageants, Miss Maharashtra Kohinoor, Maharashtra Times Shravan Queen and also for Face of India, Asia model festival. Winning Miss Maharashtra Kohinoor was a turning point in my life, I got crowned by Lieutenant General Rajendra Ramrao Nimbhorkar, a part of the strike corp which carried out three strikes held in 2016 by the Indian Army and a major part of Uri Surgical strike. I also got felicitated by Dr Vitthal Jadhav- IPS, IGP Maharashtra and Mr Shivaji Bodhke – IPS, joint Police Commissioner.

I feel honoured that I got the chance to meet such great personalities and got their blessings. I continued modelling. I also won titles like the Best Model of the Year. As a model I walk for designer shows, do shoots. I also get invited as a judge and chief guest for pageants and shows.

I am very grateful to God for everything. You never know what’s your calling until you actually start doing things that lead you towards it. My school organised various interschool and intraschool competitions, quizzes, etc that gave a chance to gain more competitive edge and a platform was given to speak in front of larger audiences.
I really love that attention was given to every individual just like a mother who cares for her child. The warmth and care provided by Ashwini Kulkarni ma’am, Deepali Sawai ma’am, Maya ma’am, Padma ma’am and all the lovely teachers who still support me is something that I’ll cherish forever. The Science, GK, Olympiad clubs helped to strengthen my aptitude and problem-solving skills. I really loved the computer lab. Focus on coding was given from a young age. These skills and experiences helped me be the topper of my Engineering college. Various industrial visits and excursions showed how things work in the world and that sparked more ideas in our minds as young kids. I remember we used to conduct rallies, awareness drives, which talked about being a more responsible citizen. We had competitions where entire classes worked as a team. I really enjoyed it, it was like everything had become more vibrant and fun. There was a time when it felt a little dark. Everyone goes through this phase at least once. Spirituality, the Bhagvad Gita, yoga helped me overcome that phase. I realised if there’s a shadow there has to be light somewhere, I just had to turn around and notice it. I thought if I could do it for me, I have to do it for others too, this encouraged me to be a social worker and I believe we grow by giving.

We used to have yoga and fitness sessions in the morning with different types of sports at school. Initially I used to play basketball then I started playing volleyball. The training was really good, we got to participate in various matches. When I was in University I got selected as a professional volleyball player for the Deccan Gymkhana club. It was like a childhood dream come true for me. All the years of training at the school helped me get there. Apart from volleyball I learned karate too, became a black belt and coach. I got to be a part of the Nirbhaya Group with Dehu Road Police. I also come to the school to help with the self-defence workshop. Walking the school corridors, seeing the playground, classrooms makes me feel nostalgic. I would say it was like a perfect mix of value education, academics, sports, events and everything. I’m really grateful to City Pride School for providing a strong and supportive environment.
Enjoy every moment at the school, this time will never come back, but the lessons, memories will stay forever, guiding you at every step.

Through paths unknown, where futures gleam,
Hold close the joy, the laughter's beam.
Though school days pass, their echoes stay,
In every heart, they light the way.
So cherish now, this precious hour,
For in your hands, you hold the power.
To carry forth what life imparts,
A tapestry of cherished hearts.
